Our teachers all have many years experience of committed personal practice of meditation and Buddhism.

Our aim is provide a local situation in which people can meditate together and be supported in a lively exploration of Buddhism, with the possibility of enjoying a sense of continuity and community together.

You don’t have to be a Buddhist to come to our classes and learn to meditate or explore Buddhism. We welcome anyone who wants to come along and participate

Monday evenings

New:-Drop-In Class 6.00-7.00

For those who have learnt the two practices and just want a session of meditation after a busy day.

There will be no teaching in this period and the cost is by dana, donation. Tea afterwards

7.30-9.30pm

An open meditation class in which the Mindfulness of Breathing or Metta Bhavana is taught

Newcomers to meditation are welcome to come on any Monday.

We will introduce the meditation practices in the context of Buddhism on which the practices are founded and offer an introduction to basic Buddhist principles on wednesday evenings

*NB Thursday evenings 7.00- 9.15pm Sangha Night ended on 29th December with closing ritual

We recommend a retreat at Rivendell Buddhist Retreat Centre or Vajrasana

or for those who like to camp, Buddhafield

Wednesday evenings 7.30-9.30pm

The six week Buddhism courses will include periods of meditation

Open to those who have previously attended the Monday evening Introduction to Meditation classes and are able to do the Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana meditation practices without guidance.

Each course comprises of short talks on Buddhist teachings, discussions, reflection, and meditation.

We ask for a £6 donation per class. If you need a concessionary rate, please speak to one of the instructors. Additional donations to our charity are also welcome.
